Thanks to this dedication, Botres Global has achieved numerous ground-breaking successes. We are proud to include some of the world’s largest waste management and infrastructure companies among our clients. While expanding our EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction) business significantly, our new primary focus is on constructing and operating our own Build-Own-Operate (BOO) facilities. This shift creates synergies and delivers substantial benefits to our customers, who we consider as long-term partners.

Company structure

Starting with 2 people in 2012, Botres has considerably grown in recent years. Today, our team operates globally, with headquarters in Austria and branches in Spain, Italy, and Poland. New offices are already in the pipeline. This global presence enables us to work effectively across different countries, while allowing us to respond swiftly and on-site to the needs of our clients.

In March 2024, Hartree Partners (UK) Limited has signed an acquisition agreement for a 50% share in Botres Holding GmbH and its subsidiaries. With this partnership we aim to develop a European biomethane production business with a focus on Renewable Energy Directive (RED) compliant feedstocks, which will operate under the Botres brand. We are confident that by combining our expertise and resources, we can deliver exceptional results and contribute meaningfully to Europe’s transition towards a more sustainable energy future.

Our team consists of environmental biotech experts, experienced (more than 20 years) process & mechanical engineers as well as business leaders who provide and transfer their proprietary know-how.

We are committed to the value of sustainability and reliability in performing all our services. Customer satisfaction, ethical business management and our co-workers are the cornerstones of Botres Global.

Our history

Botres Global was founded in 2012 by Stefan Kromus and Markus Grasmug, who have more than 20 years of experience in the biogas sector. Both founders not only studied the industry academically but have hands-on experience in waste management and daily operations. To this day, they enjoy being actively involved on-site, maintaining their practical connection to the business.

WHY THE NAME BOTRES?

Botres comes from Greek mythology and represents transition, symbolised by the bee-eater bird – a motif reflected in our logo.
